H.E.L.P.E.R.S.
We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to overcome challenges and reach their full potential. The H.E.L.P.E.R.S. program—Helping to Educate & Lead People Effectively to Resource Services— is dedicated to empowering individuals facing difficult circumstances by providing vital education, resources, and support to foster meaningful, lasting change.
On the third and fourth Friday of every month, our team of passionate volunteers and partners comes together to serve our H.E.L.P.E.R.S. community members. Thanks to the generosity of our partner organizations, we distribute nutritious food, toiletries, clothing, and other essential items to alleviate the immediate hardships faced by those experiencing homelessness.
However, the H.E.L.P.E.R.S. program is about more than meeting basic needs. We understand that small gestures of care—like offering a hot shower—can profoundly impact someone’s well-being. By providing access to these services, we help individuals feel clean, refreshed, and reconnected to their sense of self. These seemingly simple acts can inspire hope and spark transformation toward a brighter future.

Sustaining Seniors
At BEJCRC, we deeply value the contributions and wisdom of our senior citizens. Our Seniors Program is committed to improving the well-being and quality of life for our elderly community members by providing essential services, fostering social connections, and offering compassionate care.
Twice a month, our team visits Senior Living Residences to distribute nutritious food, ensuring seniors have access to healthy and wholesome options. These visits are a vital part of our mission to support and uplift this cherished community.

Providing Clothing for Homeless, Low-Income Individuals, and Seniors

Low-income individuals, seniors, and homeless individuals often struggle to meet basic needs, and having appropriate clothing can make a significant difference in their daily lives, helping to restore dignity, confidence, and comfort. That’s why we created Nautiqua's Closet.
Nautiqua's Closet is a community-focused program that provides new and gently used clothing free of charge to those in need. From everyday attire to seasonal essentials, this program ensures that individuals can access quality clothing without the financial burden. Whether someone needs warm clothing for the winter months, professional attire for a job interview, or basic items for daily life, Nautiqua's Closet is here to help.
Every piece of clothing donated helps us extend our reach and serve more individuals. By offering a wide selection of new and gently used items, we aim to preserve the dignity of those we serve by allowing them to choose clothing that fits their unique needs and style preferences.

For many low-income families, the holiday season can be a difficult time, marked by financial stress and limited access to basic necessities. To address this need, we are proud to host Ben’s Turkey Drive-Thru, an initiative designed to ensure everyone can experience the joy and comfort of a traditional Thanksgiving meal.
Ben’s Turkey Drive-Thru Program provides families in need with free turkeys and holiday meal essentials in a convenient and accessible way. Through this program, we aim to alleviate some of the financial strain on struggling households while fostering a sense of togetherness and gratitude within our community. Families can simply drive up to our designated distribution site, and our dedicated team of volunteers will load their vehicles with everything they need for a memorable holiday meal— no barriers to receiving help.
Last year, Ben’s Turkey Drive-Thru Program provided hundreds of turkeys to local families, ensuring they could enjoy a wholesome Thanksgiving dinner with their loved ones. This year, we aim to expand our reach and serve even more households, including low-income families, seniors, and those experiencing homelessness.
